A recent workshop on Biomimetics in Bath found inspiration from a visit to the Botanical Gardens in Royal Victoria Park. Working on the problem of how to overcome the problem of counterfeit and fake goods a number of plants and animals were examined. Ideas for tracking, marking, packaging and training came from the close observation of biological systems. Imagine the ideas you could generate by spending time observing and thinking. Do you think this is possible if you work in a busy environment. For those that do not have access to nature a selection of the inspirational animals and plants have been captured in the following picture library. Get inspired!
Great set of pictures Phil. They help visualise what biomimetics means and how it can help with a different approach to problem solving.
